Nurnberg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany - a good example of how the old and new can exist in harmony, complementing each other. In the panorama of medieval Nurnberg, the Old Town of Altstadt’s buildings organically co-exist with modern buildings, repeating the line of the old city walls. These walls, preserved to this day, firmly defended the city against the danger of invasion. Thanks to those walls Nurnberg has never been taken, resulting in the preserved and intact core of the old city.
